Year 6’s Fourth Day at Sayers Croft

On our fourth day Sayers Croft, we starting the morning by visiting the Celtic Roundhouse and taking part in activities such as shield formation, spear throwing and fire lighting. In the afternoon we went on the WWII trail, during which we were able to visit an air raid shelter used by children evacuated to Sayers Croft during the Second World War. The children were also tasked with building a ballista that they were then allowed to use to fire wet sponges at the teachers!
In the evening the children used the points they gained in the quiz on Monday to build a structure to protect an egg.
