On Wednesday, Class 6K went for a walk to the canal to explore Brentford's Victorian past. We stopped at Brentford Lock and were allowed to look inside the toll house where we able to see images of what the area around the canal would have looked like towards the end of the 19th century. The volunteers then showed us how the lock itself worked! We saw how some aspects of Brentford's past, such as old railway arches, were still visible today.
