Year 2 plant their sunflower seeds

To start our topic of ‘plants’ in science, the children were excited to plant their own sunflower seed. We went outside to the small garden area and each child was given a plant pot and a seed. They were able to explain that the seed will need oxygen, soil, sun and water to grow. They placed their seed in the pot with some soil. We will keep checking on them to see how they will grow.
