Year 1’s First Week of Learning

This week has been a big week for Year 1! We have started our learning journey and have been learning about lists in English, practising our counting in maths, and looking at our curriculum topics in the afternoons. For science the children have been learning about materials. We played a game where they would try to guess the material they were holding with a blind fold on! We also had lots of active time in PE where we practised balances and ball skills. They began to learn about their topic where we talked about the weather and why the weather changes throughout the day. It has been very busy but the children did a great job at learning new routines.
