Year 1 make Chinese lanterns

For the past couple of weeks we have been reading a wonderful story called Lin Yi's Lantern. The children have throughly enjoyed it and they thought carefully about the meaning of the story. We spent the weeks retelling the story, sequencing it and thinking about the characters actions. At the end of the week, the children were able to make Chinese lanterns and then write a set of instructions.
