St. Paul’s Church- Nativity Roadshow
This morning Years 5 and 6 were treated to a visit from some of the team at St. Paul's Church to lead us in their new ‘Nativity Roadshow’. The morning started with a game of Christmas Family Fortunes in groups and some singing, before we completed 3 different crafts, all depicting a different part of the Nativity story.
The children created angel decorations; made special boxes based on the Wise Men's gifts for Jesus, and produced a Christmas card inspired by the shepherds. After this we went back to the hall to take part in a ‘jump in’ Nativity. The children were particularly enthusiastic about this part (especially when a couple of teachers were asked to take part too- of course looking a bit silly!).
Throughout the morning the children were able to share their knowledge of the Christian Christmas story as well as enjoying something a little different. They were also lucky enough to be given a little ‘goody bag' to bring home, along with their creations. A huge thank you to Luke, Zoe, Matthew, Sara and Macy for bringing the workshops to us.
