Sharing science learning across the phases

As Nursery come to the end of their topic on minibeasts we set off on a hunt to find some in the school grounds. We were joined by some pupils from 4L who had learnt about invertebrates as part of their Living Things science topic earlier in the year. As part of that they had carried out a hunt for invertebrates around the school so they knew the best places to look for minibeasts. The year 4 children were brilliant at helping the nursery children and sharing their own knowledge of insects, arachnids and crustaceans. They found spiders, ants, beetles, millipedes, woodlice, snails and lots more.
