Reception say goodbye to their butterflies

On Friday, Reception released their butterflies into St Paul's Park.
We have watched with amazement as they changed from 5 tiny caterpillars into huge, eating machines before forming their cocoons. The children were thrilled when the first butterfly emerged, spending time observing its colours and eating behaviour. They were thrilled when they returned from lunch on Thursday to find that the last two had emerged taking their total to 5.
