Reception investigate materials

As part of Science Week, we are going to be investigating materials and the weather.
Yesterday, we sorted different objects according to what they were made of and talked about how they are the same and how we use them. The children created their own groups including plastic, fabric and wood. We also talked about how some objects are made of different materials but do the same job.
In the afternoon, we made rain gauges and talked about different types of weather.
