Reception get wet at the Steam Museum

On Friday, Reception had the most amazing day at the London Water and Steam Museum.

We met Kate, who led us in a Super Soggy Science Show. We learnt about the water cycle and how water is cleaned. We also found out about ‘Monster Soup’, which is what people in London called the drinking water during the Victorian times as it was so dirty.

We then went on a tour of the steam works and explored the exhibition. The children had a great time twisting all of the handles, turning the wheels and finding the rat at the end of the tunnel.

We ended our day with a trip to the splash zone! The children loved climbing in and out of the pipes, making dams and splashing in the water trays.

Well done Reception!
