Reception explore the human body

On Wednesday Reception had the most amazing visit from Mrs Forbes, one of our parent governors.
She came to talk to us about her job as a kidney doctor and to explain about the human body. Using the model of the body, she explained what each organ did and how we can help to keep each organ healthy. We learnt that the liver filters out the toxins and that the food we eat moves through the stomach and into the intestines, which would stretch from one side of the classroom to the other if they were pulled straight.
The children were absolutely fascinated and were very keen to share their knowledge.
