Oh no! Everything is frozen!

In Reception we have been exploring the ice, both inside the classroom and in the garden.
In the classroom, the children had to rescue the animals that had been frozen in blocks of ice. They came up with some amazing ideas including using the tap tap hammers to break the ice and pouring warm water on top to melt it.
In the garden they have been using sticks and stones to break the large blocks of ice that have formed and have been creating their own ice blocks. They were fascinated by the bubbles that they could seen frozen inside the ice and the lines that formed when it cracked.
