Exploring Ocean Layers

As part of our new Topic unit, 5/6L have been exploring the different layers of the ocean. We enjoyed using an interactive layer map of the ocean, showing us plants and animals that can survive in each layer. We were incredibly surprised at how many strange creatures we discovered that we had never heard of, and how much further the ocean goes! This task will lead onto us making our own dioramas of the ocean, which the children are extremely excited about.
