Good roots run deep

Reception have been baking cakes. 

We read the story 'Little Red Riding Hood' and made cakes for Granny, who wasn't feeling well. 

The children watched as the ingredients came together to form a mixture before popping them into the oven to cook. They made some amazing comments about its smell and the feel including 'it looks like snow' and 'it smells like biscuits'. Once they were baked, we made icing and added sprinkles (with some ending up in mouths and on fingers!).
