Castle Building in Reception

We have been thinking about castles in Reception.
We read a story about a castle in the past and identified the different parts of the building and grounds. We learnt about drawbridges and how they were used to protect the people inside the castle and looked at images of castles around the world.
The children have had great fun designing their own castles and have even tried to build a castle big enough to live in!
