Good roots run deep

KS1 were really lucky today because we had a special visit from Karin Littlewood who is a fantastic author and illustrator. We started off the day with a whole school assembly where she showed us a video of her studio in Central London. She talked us through her writing and illustrating journey when she starts a new book. It was very interesting! Later on in the day, we attended a workshop with Karin where the children made story necklaces. They were encouraged to think of each bead of their story necklace as a seed which will grow as they draw and write. It was very productive and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.
