5/6K’s Curriculum Enrichment

Yesterday, as part of curriculum enrichment day 5/6K took part in a range of fun activities. In the morning we listened to different genres of music from throughout the world and shared our thoughts and reactions. Then we took inspiration from ‘Stomp’ and composed our own piece of music using objects from around the classroom such as paper, pens, whiteboards, plastic cups and glue sticks.
In the afternoon, we took part in a junk percussion workshop. Finally, the children were challenged to design something (such as a musical instrument, a new invention or a piece of furniture) using items that would normally been thrown away.
