4J at Stonehenge

Yesterday, years 3 & 4 took a trip to Salisbury to see Stonehenge. We learned about how historians think the ancient monument was built, including how the stones were transported for miles without modern machinery, and the clever way that the neolithic people managed to slot the stones together (a bit like Lego!) It was a memorable day at a world heritage site and it helped bring our current Iron Age topic to life.
